Job Description
We’re looking for a professional, organised, and adaptable Receptionist / Administrator to join our team at AFFCO Rangiuru.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for coordinating reception and providing administrative support across the plant. As the first point of contact for visitors, contractors, transport drivers, and callers, you’ll play an important role in ensuring a professional, efficient, and compliant frontline service.

You’ll also support the wider business with day-to-day administration, site access processes, office coordination, records management, and facilities support to help the plant meet operational and compliance requirements.

Based at the AFFCO Rangiuru plant, and reporting to the Plant Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Answering incoming calls promptly and professionally.
  • Screening and directing calls appropriately.
  • Greeting and inducting visitors to site.
  • Ensuring contractors and transport drivers are inducted before site access.
  • Confirming contractor management approval prior to entry.
  • Maintaining accurate visitor and contractor records.
  • Coordinating meeting rooms and catering requirements.
  • Providing administrative support across departments.
  • Completing data entry and reporting accurately.
  • Supporting accounts payable and purchase order processes.
  • Maintaining directories, records, stationery, and office supplies.
  • Managing mail and courier services.
  • Keeping reception, lunchroom, and kitchen areas clean and tidy.
  • Replenishing tea, coffee, milk, and other consumables.
  • Prioritising workload and planning ahead to support business needs.
  • Communicating professionally and building positive working relationships across teams.
  • Following all health and safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Strong communication skills and confidence dealing with visitors, contractors, callers, and internal teams.
  • Good attention to detail and accuracy in administration and record keeping.
  • The ability to prioritise work and manage competing tasks.
  • A proactive approach and willingness to take ownership of tasks.
  • Competency using Microsoft Office Suite.
  • A commitment to maintaining professional standards and supporting site compliance requirements.
  • A positive attitude and the ability to work well across a busy plant environment.
