Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Production Supervisor to lead day‑to‑day operations at our manufacturing plant located in Eltham. This is a hands‑on leadership role, responsible for supervising a team of Process Operators while ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant production of high‑quality enzyme products.

You will play a key role in meeting production targets, maintaining GMP standards, coaching team performance, and driving continuous improvement in a regulated manufacturing environment.

 

Qualifications

  • Supervise and coordinate production activities across the site
  • Lead, coach, and support Process Operators to achieve production and quality targets
  • Ensure compliance with GMP, food safety, quality, and H&S requirements
  • Monitor production performance, yields, and downtime; escalate and resolve issues
  • Review and approve batch documentation, logs, and shift handovers
  • Ensure effective staffing, break management, and task allocation
  • Support incident investigations, deviations, and CAPA activities
  • Work closely with Quality, Maintenance, and Planning teams
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in safety, quality, and efficiency
  • Participate in onboarding, training, and competency development of operators

 

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Production Supervisor, Manufacturing Supervisor, or Senior Operator
  • Strong commitment to maintain H&S standards
  • Background in food, dairy, biotech, or pharmaceutical manufacturing
  • Strong understanding of GMP, food safety, and quality systems
  • Confident people leader with the ability to motivate and manage performance
  • Calm, practical problem‑solver with a hands‑on approach
  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
  • Experience with enzyme, dairy, or fermentation processes
  • Qualification in food technology, engineering, or manufacturing
  • Qualification in H&S
  • Experience supporting audits and regulatory inspections
