Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Cleaning Supervisor to lead our hygiene and sanitation team within a fast-paced lamb processing facility. This is a key role responsible for ensuring the plant meets strict food safety, hygiene, and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate daily cleaning operations across the processing plant
  • Lead, train, and motivate a team of cleaning staff
  • Ensure all cleaning procedures meet industry, MPI, and company standards
  • Conduct routine inspections and audits of hygiene practices
  • Manage cleaning schedules and ensure completion within required timeframes
  • Maintain accurate records of cleaning activities and compliance checks
  • Liaise with production and quality assurance teams to meet operational requirements
  • Ensure safe handling and use of cleaning chemicals and equipment
  • Promote a strong health and safety culture within the team

 

Qualifications 

  • Previous experience in a supervisory role, ideally within food processing or industrial cleaning
  • Knowledge of hygiene and sanitation standards in meat or food processing environments
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
  • Good communication and organisational skills
  • Understanding of health & safety regulations
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including nights if required
