Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Cleaning Supervisor to lead our hygiene and sanitation team within a fast-paced lamb processing facility. This is a key role responsible for ensuring the plant meets strict food safety, hygiene, and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily cleaning operations across the processing plant
- Lead, train, and motivate a team of cleaning staff
- Ensure all cleaning procedures meet industry, MPI, and company standards
- Conduct routine inspections and audits of hygiene practices
- Manage cleaning schedules and ensure completion within required timeframes
- Maintain accurate records of cleaning activities and compliance checks
- Liaise with production and quality assurance teams to meet operational requirements
- Ensure safe handling and use of cleaning chemicals and equipment
- Promote a strong health and safety culture within the team
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a supervisory role, ideally within food processing or industrial cleaning
- Knowledge of hygiene and sanitation standards in meat or food processing environments
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Understanding of health & safety regulations
- Flexibility to work shifts, including nights if required
